Kirk Peterson is the Offensive Coordinator for the THS Varsity team. He is a 1991 graduate of Turlock High School and a 1996 graduate of San Francisco State University. During his time at SFSU, Kirk played for the school's basketball team. Since 1998, he has been employed by Stanislaus County Office of Education as a special education teacher. Kirk holds a credential in Physical/Health Impairments from SFSU and one in English from Chapman University.

In 1997 Kirk was an assistant coach for the freshman football team at Beyer High School. After that he spent two years as an assistant coach at Delhi High School before joining the Turlock High staff in 2000. In 2001, 2003, 2004, and 2006, Kirk helped guide the sophomore team to undefeated CCC titles. Kirk also served as an assistant varsity basketball coach at Riverbank High School from 1996-1998.

Kirk lives in Turlock with his wife Marie and his three daughter, Paige, Avery, and Mia.
